Rovio made a new announcement on their blog about the new sequel of 2012's blockbuster game angry bird star wars. In a blog they informed their fans about the release date of 19 September 2013 for Angry Birds Stars 2.

The things which are newly featured in this viral app are;
- Introduction of several new characters with a bunch of new powers.
- New interesting stories carrying different levels with steadily increase in difficulty.
- First time user have an option to join and fight from pork side.
- For the first time ever introduction of real toys (Telepods). To which you can do scan by use of camera of your device (Smartphones, Tablets, etc.) to telepods your characters into the app and then, customize your lineup and choose who you launch.
