Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan Orders Completion of Development Schemes in Hyderabad


KARACHI: Governor sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has directed that the schemes for provision of filtered water to people of Hyderabad, improvement of entry point at Qasimabad, expansion of Hyderabad Jamshoro Pathak and beautification of Rani Bagh Should be completed at the earliest. This he said while presiding over a meeting at the Governer House on Tuesday.
Matters pertaining to the ongoing development works and performance of the bodies entrusted with provision of civic amenities were discussed at the
meeting. Commissioner Hyderabad, Ahmed Bux Narejo, special secretary, Aftab Khatri, Director General Hyderabad Development Authority, Ghulam Muhammad, and other officials attended the meeting.
The Governor directed that concrete proposals and strategies be presented for improving the fiscal management of the civic bodies. He directed that for the provision of filtered water short term and long term schemes be expedited.
Dr. ishrat also stressed that in accordance with the vision 2020 program, the projects should be comp[leted with the scheduled timetable and standard. He called for improving the recreational facilities at Rani Bagh and betterment of the Zoo where more animals be added. The Governor said that there should be adequate monitoring of the flyovers and other projects. He was informed at the meeting that the construction of flyover at Hala Naka would be completed in six months time. Work on improving the road form Bypass to Jamshoro Pathak be expedited. It was stated that various development projects are being completed at a cost of Rs. 2661.2 million for which the federal governments is providing funds under Hyderabad development project.
