Name of Samsung, LG, Sony,
and Microsoft will come in mind when we think about the top best technology companies. But the facts tell some other story because, according to the list
of US patents recipient 6,478 patents were registered by International Business
Machines (IBM) in year of 2012 and far away in figures from other companies. And this is not the first time that IBM tops
the list and setting records. In 2011, IBM Patents are 6,180 and they are still
on 1st position since from 20 years.
IBM network is spread in
35 countries, and working with team of around 9,000 employees. The current figure of IBM patents is
approximately 4.6% higher than the one recorded in previous year 2011. The 2nd
position is awarded to a Korean company Samsung Electronics Co Ltd with total
of 5081 patents in 2012. And the 3rd position in most patents list
goes to Canon K K of Japan with 3174 patents.

According to IFI Claims
that USPTO issued 253,155 utility patents in 2012. Well jumping in by some new
technology companies in top 10 list like LG electronics and General Electric Co
listed out Seiko Epson and Hitachi. But there is no change in position is seen
