Google ChromeCast Review

Finally Google released their own first device likely Dongle to cast videos and music on HDTV from your personal devices; smartphones, tablets, PC, etc..

What is Chromecast

Chromecast dongle is roughly a 2 inch long and compact device with HDMI unit on front and micro usb port on back to power it. The purpose of this TV dongle is to connect your any smart device to TV by use of wireless network in order to share videos and audios on big screen.

To connect tablet / laptop / smartphone to TV by use of Chromecast dongle you need to follow few easy steps. Take dongle and pop it in HDMI port at the back of TV and, give power to dongle via  micro usb cable in case your TV does not have feature to give power to HDMI attached devices. In the next step (will appear on TV as Set Me Up) you need to do some small settings before going ahead for fun. Visit official site and install chromecast app / extension in chrome browser of device. Do click on set up button to detect chromecast device and then connect it to local wireless network. Once the Wi-Fi get detected the TV will show you a verification code on its screen. Accept that code in your device, enter wireless network details and, also do change your chromecast username to start your own local stream.

Once it connected you can play content from YouTube, Pandora, Google Play music and movies, netflix, and everything from chrome. This device also allow users to use their laptop and mobiles as remote to control volume, stop play and skip to next media. So now, everytime when you want to connect your smartphones, etc to TV just simply tap on rectangular screen with wireless network icon and here you go.


The Google Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player cost is only $35 USD, approximately equals to 2000 Indian and 3500 Pakistani rupees. And you can easily grab this cool dongle in amazingly cheap price from Best Buy, Google Play or from Amazon.
